You are very welcome to send us a demo for consideration! We're bad with money, so if we think it's amazing we'll probably do it, and begin to live on the streets. Here's the address to send your sonic love to;
Check out our UK friends: //IR, Feast of Tentacles, Holy Roar, Undergroove, Calculated Risk, BH/BB, QnotQ, Skipworth, SuperFi, Dry Run, Krayon, EyesofSound, Johnson Family, Catacomb, Calculon, Big Scary Monsters + lots more! Keep the UK underground scene alive!
Anyone who doesn't care as long as they break even so they can fund new projects, and puts the same amount of love and passion into the CD as the band themselves do!!

Sound Devastation Records is a label born from an ezine. The ezine is dead. Please don't send stuff for review - it won't get one. However, please do send demos for consideration. We will probably give a little feedback. If you don't hear from us at all, take a hint. We aim to just release what we think is ace music that otherwise might not be heard. For up-to date news and some pretty pictures, visit our Blog:
All our releases are paid from our own pocket. Any profits made are put immediately back into the label and our growing roster. We do releases on CD and we do have contacts that get our bands on bigger gigs and get distributed to shops around the world including HMV and sometimes also get released digitally. Does that make us sell out's? Not in our opinion.
All our own work (i.e. Doing It Yourself) has built up the contacts and possibilities to get our work and releases to both our fans and the general public. We have not sacrificed any decision making or let anyone else except the band we're working with tell us what to do.
We have complete control over our releases with these other people who help us out. We also consult with our bands constantly so that they're completely happy. If they don't want their release sold in certain places it will not be sold there. Just because we can be transient with our principles in order to enable other individuals to realize their musical dreams does not mean that we don't have our own personal principles. It just means that when we love the music enough, we want to release it and do the best by the band creating it.
If you're a DIY punk band who want to sell only through indies (or even just via trades and contacts) and do it only on vinyl and only in a limited pressing, we'll do that. If you want your stuff to be on CD in an ace package, distributed worldwide and even *gasp* digitally, we'll do that.
Bands interested in sending us demos, please do. Just know what you want and be prepared to tell us from the beginning.
As long as your music is ephemeral, transcendent and doesn't buffer about on the waves of current fads and scenes; and as long as the band is prepared to work hard and are completely passionate about what they do, then we will work with them.
If you want to be on our label, you have to be ready to always communicate with us. We have contacts, but so do you. We share these to maximize the release. We expect our bands to work damn hard. Hopefully we'll break even, or get a bit of a profit ticking over, so we can work on new projects with the band again, or put our efforts into supporting another new band.
We are also great believers in awesome artwork and packaging - a release is not in our opinion just about the music. Its the whole presentation of it. A piece of art.

Thanks for the add We really appreciate your friendship and support! Stop by our page and let us know what you think about our work... We are currently recording our second full length album, which will once again combine heavy and powerful metal music with clean vocals hailing from the roots of gothic rock. We are looking for a label ready to help us nail down the project (mixing / mastering / distribution). cheers from France Ben PS:We're promoting the release of our second album and looking for a genre that best describes our music... Please send us your suggestions!
TOMBS (USA) Newly signed to Relapse, they play a unique mix of shoegaze indy, atmospheric black metal, post-rock and metallic hardcore, influences varies from Darkthrone to Breach, My Bloody Valentine, Swans and King Crimson !!!!
PLANKS (Germany) Heavy metallic hardcore combining a typically German sound (Acme, Systral, Perth Express) with the slow downtuned sound of HHIG or early Baroness
BLACK HORSE (USA) New York industrial/garage/noise duo, like Melvins and Big Black going garage.
DIET PILLS (Leicester) Noisy, rocking, hardcore-informed rock, like Jesus Lizard and Black Flag.
Thursday September the 11th The Old Angel, Stoney Street Doors 7.30 £5
Drinks will be £1.50 all night and there will be heavy metal karaoke in the bar till 12. There should also be some very nice silk-screened posters for the gig available to buy.
Please check out our live-song that we uploaded some days ago. The soundquality isn't the best though. But it gives you a brief opinion about it. We'll record it in a studio in 4 weeks.
FLATLANDS Back again after a long break from playing live, album tracks and a few new ones may surface, we're looking forward to this!
CELEBRITY LOVE CRISIS Matt and Nathan Dick of Analysis of Bison Kills play prog-infused metal of the highest order, think a more interesting Pelican, more jazzed-up than shoegaze, but still with a self-reflective element to the sound, should be LOUD.
THE GRAND MARCH New Leeds band who feature Ryan from Chickenhawk (a real selling point if you ask me) and 3 members of the former Leeds band Whores Whore Whores, they play a rock and roll take on Old Man Gloom to these ears, but why don't you come and find out for yourself?
Wednesday 6th August The Grapes £3.50 in 8pm doors First band 8.30 Go on!
Thanks for the add! Good stuff- we've been addicted to UK hardcore lately...guess we'll have to pop over one of these days...take in some shows and the like. You've been warned haha
