About BogalooRadioshow

The Bogaloo Radioshow was founded in 2004 and originally it should represent the musical diversity of the club bogaloo resident DJs. As a weekly program schedule was one of the crucial founding ideas the inconsequent production of the shows became a bottleneck as teething troubles which influenced the regular schedule. After a while the new radioteam was founded consisting of Matthias Desch, Edgar Strobl and Flo’Alike. The idea of broadbanded diversity of music is still alive because the three hosts regularely pass over borders of musical genres. These genres are e.g. Jazz, Funk, Soul, HipHop or House. Every now and then the shows are spiced with guest DJ mixes from german and foreign countries as well as liveacts recorded at parties. In 2004 the radioshow was only broadcasted sundays on Radio42.com but after a while the issues became archived on the Vienna based audioarchive Play.FM and the London-based webcommunity Clubbity.com. Since 2006 the Bogaloo Radioshow is available via Podcast which is linked here on this homepage. On this website you can get information about tracklists or guest mixes. As the show became also known in foreign countries, Matthias, Edgar and Flo decided to moderate in English language. In the recent past they signed on the greek radiostation Radio1 FM88 Rhodes (that means that the show is broadcasted on the isle every Sunday since October 2007) and the London/Tokyo based station Samurai.FM. The three said that the motive force to do and continue the show is the enthusiasm to present this “niched” music and to keep a platform for artists of underground music. Astonishingly more and more people become open minded and listen to this kind of music – on the radioshow and certainly in the club where the focus is on more danceable tunes!
