For the uninitiated, Shunt is a labyrinthine network of vaults and tunnels under London Bridge station that's used as an art and music space, with all kinds of nooks and crannies with interesting things going on, a theatre, a cinema and an amazing bar. The space is closing due to development work in September, so this is a great excuse to come and see Napoleon IIIrd, Keyboard Choir, PWL, Mat Riviere, Stairs To Korea, We Aeronauts, Thee Oracle and Gaggle play live at Shunt before it's gone... have a look at the Facebook Event for details.

Nice Things People Said ABout Us:
"A lot of voices, each with their own character, each of which is, in some way, other than the norm... (Brainlove) bands don't tend to sound bland or careerist or shallowly fashionable." - kicking_k, Plan B Magazine
"New sounds are VITAL to any given art form to keep the life blood pumping: invigorating and challenging new sounds even more so. Brainlove Records understand this better than most: showcasing nervy, angular bands with oodles of passion and - even more importantly - melody coursing through their dank underground veins." - Everett True, Careless Talk / Plan B
"Brainlove Records with their recent clutch of EPs seem to be turning into the talent spotters to watch" - Drowned In Sound
"If you like your pop warped and experimental Brainlove Records deserves a special place in your heart. Like Postcard, Warp or even early Def Jam, Brainlove is one of those little labels that delivers a diverse range of music, yet maintains a strong identity for itself, partly through its artwork but mainly through its comittment to underground pop that's sexy, arty and innovative." - Beard (2005 EMAP zine award winner)
"The outlet for underground hero John Brainlove... the desire to find the bands who match the sounds in his head is laudable." - Planet Sound, Teletext
"27 tracks from Modernaire to Capitol K to Friends of The Bride, Napoleon IIIrd, Pagan Wanderer Lu... a really good label." - Huw Stephens, Radio 1
"Given their track record when Brainlove Records place a record of theirs on a high shelf and ask we jump we willingly enquire how high. 'As high as the shelf' is the response." - -Sweeping The Nation
"The depth and breadth (of "2000 & ACE") proves why others are so excited by the fledgling label... proof that for all the panic in the industry, some independent labels are flourishing." - New Noise
