Silver Jews, Eels, Will Oldham, American Music Club, Evan Dando, Elliott Smith, Simon & Garfunkel, Velvet Underground, Rolling Stones, Neil Young, Bob Dylan, The Pursuit Of Happiness, The Smiths, Kinks, Billy Bragg, PUB ROCK!, REM, Teenage Fanclub, Karl Wallinger, The Go-Betweens, Prefab Sprout, Tom Waits, Smog, The Blue Nile, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Ben Folds, Nick Drake, Tim Buckley....too many to mention...
Singer-songwriter Lance (or just plain Cusack) has been performing his alt-country/roots-pop in and around London and the South East of England since 2001. His songs have garnered favourable comparisons to Evan Dando, Smog and Simon & Garfunkel all of which he cites as important influences along with the likes of Neil Young, Will Oldham and Nick Lowe. Previously, as well as playing with local heroes The ProTeens and The Adjustment, Lance spent the latter part of the '90s fronting London-based retro-rockers Regentone whose acclaimed 'World Of Sound' ep ("Classy and assured guitar pop' - Time Out) was to be their sole release. During this period Lance also had a stint as musical director on BBC Radio One's pop satire show 'Z Magazine'.
Presently, Cusack can be found hosting his very own intimate showcase 'Shangri-la', or playing in and around town solo, or with multi instrumentalist Matt Boulter (Blue Vinyl Island/Lucky Strikes) or with the four-piece Cusack & the Mildsensations.
The next Cusack release is currently in the pipeline.

'killer lyric's full of self-depreciating wit and longing. The melody is pure sliver, the vocals hushed like a confession. There are shades of the Lemonheads bruised beauty and a hint of the stripped down country of Smog'
