Influences
There's so many musicians that I've been influenced by them, during my childhood til' I write in this column, They had to give me great influences at the empty paper while I just singing La La La La...and thinking about the right rotation of tunes...Day dreaming something imposibble to being real in my old paper...Their music in my blood;
The Beatles,Nick Drake, Shirley Collins, Connie Francis, Bread, The Free Design, Don McLean, Michael Cretu, Art Garfunkel, The Cardigans and Nina Persson, Pulp and Jarvis Cocker, The Smashing Pumpkins with Billy Corgan, Catatonia with Cerys Matthews, The Lightning Seeds with Ian Broudie, Bjork, Suede with Brett Anderson, Weezer with Rivers Cuomo, Ash with Tim Wheeler and Charlotte Hatherley, Travis with Frans, Sufjan Stevens, Stina Nordenstam, Melanie C, The Decemberists with Colin Meloy, Bright Eyes, Camera Obscura with Tracyanne Campbell, Tilly And The Wall with Neely Jenkins and Jamie, Josh Rouse, SORE with all of them;they have the greatest harmony in my ears, And of course the local indie pop band that have to contributed the indie scene in Indonesia!

Wezy; his nick name, born in a family that really love the music and grow old in Matraman, Jakarta Pusat. During his childhood, he has been learned and like the music from such The Beatles, Nick Drake, Shirley Collins, Connie Francis, Don McLean, The Free Design, Art Garfunkel, Michael Cretu, Paul Simon, Bee Gees, til’ Bread...........................................................................................................
He tried to find what is the music that he want to. Until he find The Cardigans, Ash, Weezer, and The lightning Seeds, he influenced to be musician. When he started to write in 10, the pop-jazzy music and a childish lyrics has been created as he used to be more like to listen to popular music. Then, in 13 years old, he found that Indie Pop was really matched with his ideology on music. So he digs in about the improvement in that genre..........................................................................................................
He didn’t find the perfect partner in music during in high school. There always the different ideology between Wezy and his friends who thinks that Indie Pop was weird, and they said they’re better to listen and play with popular music who’s always beloved with the other teenagers like them............................................................................................................
If he show his songs to his friends for get the opinion, almost of them always said Darryl Wezy’s music was on Indie Folk Pop. Actually, Wezy didn’t mind if the people judging what’s the genre that he involved. But, sometimes he feel that his music’s not always in Folk Pop. It seems all his music was Folk Pop caused he just show his song to the people only with his voice and acoustic guitar...........................................................................................................
The next planning is opening an audition to looking for the members to join Darryl Wezy or The Blooms Berries/ his band’s creature on his book, The Blooms Berries (the music of The Blooms Berries and Darryl Wezy is same).
