Day of Silence Ne Diyor?

DAY OF SILENCE, April 16, 2010 - Welcome to the official Day of Silence MySpace page. The Day of Silence, a project of the Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network <(GLSEN), is a student-led day of action. Concerned students, from middle school to college, take some form of a vow of silence to bring attention to the name-calling, bullying and harassment -- in effect, the silencing -- experienced by LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender) students and their allies.

Kimle tanışmak isterim:

Middle school, high school, and college students who want to organize a Day of Silence event in the their school. Just sign-up at www.dayofsilence.org

.. When you sign-up at the Day of Silence you can be counted among the hundreds of thousands of students who are taking a stand against anti-LGBT bullying, harassment and name-calling in K-12 schools. Not to mention, you can get cool products like posters, postcards, speaking cards and stickers.

PBHS Gay/Straight Alliance	12 Tem 2009 18:44 My entire GSA club consist of 50 people and every one of them participated in the Day Of Silence. We had teachers involved and we ha several students out side of GSA participate! All together it was about 100 people at our school. It was a wonderful experience and we all plan on doing it again this year.

Tumbleweed	23 Haz 2009 21:17 I have been doing the Day of silence for about 3 years now, and my school never had an official day, I really think it should be an official holiday because this is a real issue, some students argue that being bullied made them who they are today, but it shouldn't have to be that way.... I am so glad there are organizations like this Thank You so much because I was bullied as a kid and know what its like today
