    .. A methodical composer and student of sound, Victor Ribadeneira creates uncompromising music that occupies a singular sonic landscape. Positioned at the axis of disparate underground movements Ribadeneira has produced starkly original music with a number of iconoclastic jazz, electronic, hip-hop and modern classical musicians. Nowhen, his newest release under the shortened surname Deneir, includes collaborations with Weird Weeds drummer/vocalist Nick Hennies and Asthmatic Kitty recording artist Chris Schlarb. The seven track EP also features a rare remix from legendary Warp Record duo, Autechre. In 2010, Canadian visual artist Jonathan Dueck released his 16mm DVD project which featured hand-painted film shorts paired with the music of Deneir, I Heart Lung, Sub Pop recording artist Chad VanGaalen, and Anticon artist Son Lux. After remixing a track for San Francisco electronic rock band Ellul in 2006, the band recently returned the favor by covering Deneir's track Wordless Understanding on their Debris EP. The album subsequently went on to raise over $3,500 for the people of Haiti. Beginning in 2004 Ribadeneira began working extensively with guitarist and composer Chris Schlarb. Their first release on the Sounds Are Active label, flowers (eating) words, featured stochastic and elegiac styles in bright contrast. Ribadeneira later contributed to Schlarb's landmark album, Twilight & Ghost Stories. Deneir's music was presented alongside Milton Babbit at the Pomona College's 13th Annual Ussachevsky Memorial Festival of Electronic Music. ... .. ..Deneir Discography.. .. .. ..
