Born and raised in Chicago, Dennis Florine has been touring the country for the past four years. In addition to performing countless music venues and schools across the nation, he has toured in 8 European countries. Attracting all sorts of audiences, Florine is currently performing for the Illinois Shakespeare Festival in Bloomington, IL, as well as touring full time. He has shared the stage with bands like Fred Shafer and Oval Opus, and had the privilege of working with Grammy winning engineer Rico Lumpikin (Outkast, Monica) and producer Nate Yaccino (Jessica Sonner, Brandon Grissom).
His music has been featured on radio stations such as Bloomington’s 99.5 The Eagle, Colorado Spring’s 91.5 “The SOCC” and countless college radio stations across Chicago.
With a voice compared to Tracy Chapman and Jason Mraz, and a writing style like Matt Kearney, he brings something special to every show.
Dennis just released his newest EP, “Scratching at the Surface Now” featuring the hit single ‘Romina.’ He is currently working on his next album, set to release in the spring of 2010.
