Over the last three years Double Handed have perfected their captivating live show in their hometown of Adelaide, South Australia, and during regular trips to Melbourne and Sydney.
Release of their debut EP, Therapist, in September of 2006 has helped boost the band’s fanbase to a new level, helping them pack out premier Adelaide venues such as the Enigma Bar, Fowlers Live, Governer Hindmarsh Hotel, Jade Monkey and Flinders Uni Bar and play alongside acts such as Mammal, the White Room, Rook and Bushido.
After a few lineup changes the band have redefined their sound with a new lead vocalist, Nick Russell (Soft White Machine), and are preparing to release a new single,
48 Hours in the next few months, with a full length album to follow. Make sure you catch Double Handed in their live element soon.
Musical comparisons to Cog, Incubus and the Mars Volta have been drawn by press but the band clearly have an energy and style of their own.
