The Dissident
Afternoon friends,
So... It has been what seems like an eternity since we've said or announced anything, played a gig or even said hello. Well, here's why; we have buried ourselves in our rehearsal studio for the past while writing, writing and writing new songs for our debut album entitled "The Dissident", we are thrilled to announce will be recording at Fascination Street Studios, Orbreo, Sweden this January with none other than the legendary producer Jens Bogren (Opeth, Amon Amarth, Paradise Lost, SymphonyX, Katatonia).
This is beyond exciting for us as we are fans of so many of the bands he has worked with. We met Jens in Stockholm in July to discuss the prospect of working together. It wasn't long before we had agreed on everything that needed to be ironed out and the demoing and preproduction began soon after. The songs are sounding fantastic!
Our History -
Eyesclosed formed in February 2000, since then we've release 3 E.Ps; A Statement of Intent (2000), Songs Inspired by Phi (2005) and A Formula For War (2007).
Along the way we've had the pleasure of supporting bands suchs as Machine Head, Disturbed, Suicidle Tendencies, Paradise Lost, The Rollins Band, W.A.S.P, Staind to name a few.
2009 will see us release our debut album "The Dissident" and also some other things that we're keeping quiet for now.
