  • Bio

I'm best known for writing the title songs for the films "American Splendor," "Happiness" (sung by Michael Stipe) and "The Tao of Steve." Remember the song (I Just Wanna Be) Your Steve McQueen" from "Tao"? That was me, too. I've put out four cd's, the most recent of which is "Everyone's Having Fun Tonight!" The songs sound like Nick Lowe meets Jonathan Richman as sung by Evan Dando -- if you can imagine that. Why imagine? You can hear clips of every song at www.cdbaby.com/eytanmirsky4. Previous discs, also available: "Was It Something I Said?" (2001) (www.cdbaby.com/eytanmirsky2), "Get Ready for Eytan!" (1999) (www.cdbaby.com/eytanmirsky), and "Songs about Girls (& Other Painful Subjects)" (1996) (www.cdbaby.com/eytanmirsky3). NEW: HEAR ANY FULL SONG FROM ANY OF MY 4 CD'S HERE: http://apps.facebook.com/ilike/artist/Eytan+Mirsky Oh, hey, here's a new version of the video someone on youtube set to my song "(I Just Wanna Be) Your Steve McQueen": .. .. .. .. .. .. ..
