The idea of Feedback was born when singer / guitarist Rhodri duetted with drummer Andy playing some long and best forgotten number at their junior school talent show. Their performance so impressed that they were soon joined by bassist Matt, guitarist Steffan and singer Ashley, and were pretty soon making waves everywhere they went, being asked to play a large gig to celebrate the opening of a pavillion on their local rec. This performance helped them win a slot at Camridge's prestigious Strawberry Fair, 'the largest free festival in Europe', where they went down a storm in front of a large and enthusiastic audience.
Feedback's progress had been initially monitored and then nurtured by Richard Rose, a teacher at their Junior School who also happened to run local underground record label R*E*P*E*A*T Records, home of such cult bands as Miss Black America, The Dawn Parade and Johnny Panic. He started to manage the band, and arranged for them to record amd release a CD through the Big Badger Recording Company, an off shoot of R*E*P*E*A*T. The single, titled 'Here's One We Made Earlier" was launched with a packed gig at the jUnior School, where it all but sold out.
This gig coincided with the boys' progression to secondary school, which lead to some line up changes with a new bassist (also called Matt) drafted in, and Ashley leaving for pastures new, allowing Rhodri to return to lead vocals. Here began the bands most creative period to date as the lads suddenly found it easy to produce fantastically melodic pop-punk anthems with great choruses. So impressive had they become that their song 'Sometimes' won them a place at The Song For Cambridge gig at The Junction; the cheeky little badgers then went on and won the whole competition, beating bands nearly twice their age!
The prize was some free recording time at Vertical Rooms, the £3000 per track studio recently used by Danii Minogue, Hamfatter and the Russian Symphony Orchestra, amongst others. Here they recorded their song for Cambridge, 'Sometimes'; in order to record enough material for an ep they then set to work recording 3 more tracks with their manager and his trusty laptop in his classroom at the Junior School.
Now this has been completed the band are considering how best to launch it on an unsuspecting world. Their creativity has not been dimmed as they continue to write more fantatsic material, and as word has got around they've become in demand to appear in videos, complete interviews and play live - they recently played with Johnny Panic as well as with top local bands The Hope and The Shills

Here's a clip from the recent gig at Legends Bar
Here we are at Cambridge City as a 3 piece playing (You Gotta) Fight For Your Right (To Party!) and Blitzkreig Bop on 29 September at Cambridge City
It's the very legendary R*E*P*E*A*T Fanzine/Records' 15th Birthday and by way of marking this auspicious occasion we plan to wine, dine and seduce you with our rock. Rumours that Rosey R*E*P*E*A*T may perform some kind of lapdancing routine were officially just started by me. But we can dream.
Wednesday 15th October. The Shills are on at 9.20pm at Bar Rumba as main support for Mark Matthews and the 1T's. It's two for one as far as drinks go before 8.30 which should hopefully help put the night in gear.
Tickets are £6 I believe and can be purchased either from this webpage: http://www. ticketweb. co. uk/user/?region=gb_london&query=detail&event=282550 or alternatively through one of us on the night. Failing that you can get them on the door but this will cost you a full £8. Tell your friends. After the cancelled gig last week we're all pretty eager to play so it should be a more than tolerable night in every respect.
Thanks for the great performance yesterday at Milton Road. I know its got a few of the fans hooked! Hope to see you at the ground again soon, playing a few gigs maybe at the legends bar!!
