Fire at work is an experimental/electronic music duo founded in Rome on 1999 by Fabrizio Rossi and Fabio Recchia.
The first released was on 2001 on IDROSCALO DIGITALE (an audio/video production powered by Anna Bolena)
Releases soon followed on other labels (Cavage, Scene Missing, Synapsivinile, Chairwarmer, Bias Japan).
2003 we started our own label called STIRPE999.
Since 2000 we manage an audio/video production studio in Rome, inside BRANCALEONE CLUB.
Since 2001 we work as organizers of music and visuals events at BRANCALEONE CLUB, KOLLATINO UNDERGROUND, BLOW CLUB, ASS.CULT. "ESC ATELLIEUR", HORUS CLUB, FOUNDRY(LONDON), SYNISTER NOISE CLUB, ASS. CULT. "LE MASQUE".
FIRE AT WORK toured in France(2003/2008); UK (2002/2004/2009); Germany (2007/2008/2009); Belgium (2005/2008); Austria (2006), Ceck Rep.(2006); Japan (2007/2008); Colombia (2008/2009); Mexico(2009).
In Rome they performed many events with important musicians like: Leeroy Thornill; D..Arcangelo; Autechre; Foetus; Jim Colemann; Bodgan Radzinsky; Somatic Responses; Mu:zik.
Since 2001 they are powering an electronic/acoustic trio called "EXTREME CHILLOUT" and toured with this project in Germany (Italian Culture Fest of Hannover 2009) and in Israel (International Electronic/Jazz Festival of Tel Aviv 2005).
Since this year they are collaborating with Italian Consolate in Germany and MIKZ in Berlin.

Amboss: Kompressorwahn/Avenida Paulista (Sub/Version 014) OUT NOW! The most relentless Sub/Version release so far! Two mighty tracks combining a wall of sound with rave hyper-energy. Side A "Kompressorwahn" kicks off with stepping tension-oriented rave-esque melodies quickly culminating in the most extreme pounding beats that throttle your nerves and whip the dancefloor into a frenzy with no end in sight. Amboss keeps up the pressure with the side B track titled "Avenida Paulista" in which hard industrial effects, intense frequencies and relentless beats are pushed to the limit. Deemed to be "too hard" for some, Sub/Version 014 by Amboss demolishes all other drum and bass tracks around thus demonstrating the possibilities for further explorations in hybrid extreme sounds. DM12003: Poxxe - Iono EP OUT NOW! Darkmatter Soundsystem frequents their third visit to vinyl (DM12003) this time around with the Southern California native Poxxe. The 12" kicks off with a screaming dubstep floorkiller titled "The Malfunction" sure to incite soundsystems and crowds. Next up is the rattling tear out breakcore track titled "Funky Lizard" with Minion on the collab. On the flip side, the two tracks "Yellular" & "Plastic Hip" explore the more sparse rhythms and tones of Poxxe's sound. A strong follow up to the label's previous release (DM12001) "Minion - Bored In The U.S.A. EP." Darkmatter is exclusively distributed and sold by Praxis.
