About me: Ida has now long been trying to charm her way through the pearly gates, while her name lived on in cabaret form. Like so many good things, even that came to an end. But just as we thought the Bucket had breathed its last, a mysterious benefactor stepped forth to continue to dishonour the family name with a shambling display of eclectic cabaret and out-there entertainment.
And so The Cabaret Formerly Known As Bucket will endeavour to bring you the good, the bad, the ugly, the indifferent and the androgynous, showcasing a range of performances from a range of performers.
Who I'd like to meet: Any up and coming performers in Manchester or willing to travel here. Contortionists, jugglers, singers, poets, dancers, comics, magicians, whatever your talent, if you want a chance to show it, get in touch.

This will be our last gig for at least three months if not longer… But on the bright side it’s also hopefully the launch night for our brand new CD – featuring 13 songs of slippery sin. So saddle up and join us for a night of jezebel jazz, torrid tango and the rowdiest of pre-war blues. Doors 8pm £4 in. Yours, with Sleazonal Greetings, Dr Bordello

Sleazonal Greetings Sinners, The DEVIL’S JUKEBOX has five VERY good reasons why you should be at the PACKHORSE, (Woodhouse Lane, Leeds, opp. Library pub) on FRIDAY 12th DECEMBER.
1) We’re being supported by TOM ATTAH- a seriously great bluesman from the delta basin of South Yorkshire, X-RAY CAT- rockabilly hep cat and seriously all round nice chap, and the man, the legend, the serious seriousness that is SERIOUS SAM BARRETT.
2) The new speakers I bought, for those of you who missed us last time, have turned out to be every bit as crystal clear as I thought they might be.
3) It’s my birthday…
4) It’s probably the last time we’re going to be playing for quite some time as one of our number is heavily pregnant.
5) We may if we get it done in time, and I stress may, be launching our new CD.
So Five Good reasons to drink yourself silly before New Years.
