Sounds Like
"DIY folk quintet FOUND treat their songs like scientific art experiments, throwing in glitches and the clunks of random household objects. Their excellent second LP has strong hints of the Beta Band and Tunng, but singer Ziggy Campbell's discount-whisky croon is unmistakable" Dazed and Confused
"They look like vagrants – but when it comes to ideas, they're one of the richest bands around. FOUND sound like a punch-up between Paolo Nutini and Captain Beefheart." New of the World
"Theirs is an ever-evolving musical voyage gliding somewhere between The Earliers' psychedelic pulse, Arab Strap's woozy wonder-pop and an explosion in an Indie vinyl pressing plant." Clash
"Lead singer Ziggy Campbell's introspective patter and crisp tone guide you through the musical undergrowth. Along the way there are frolicsome tubas ('Some Fracas of a Sissy'), serenading mandolins ('Gifted'), and a sampler versus distortion pedal catfight ('Reshaping'), showcasing the experimental terrain that now defines nu folk." Observer Music Monthly
“Unpredictable, noisy, melodic, daft, electronic-art-pop.” The Skinny
?"A grown-up, slick sonic treat, and surely – especially now that it comes with the Fence seal of approval – this could be the album that opens them up to a wider audience." The List
"This is modern psychedelia that owes little to the music of the 60s and everything to the present and future . . . This Mess is full of the kind of cut and paste, lo-fi treats you would associate with the likes of Super Furry Animals and FOUND have made an album which reflects both the bleak winters of Scotland and the uplifting warmth in the hearts of the people." Is This Music
“the sound of a band fulfilling their potential, showcasing their work in a refined way and appealing to a broad church of listeners. It will make your life better. 5/5” The Skinny
“An enormously promising group of talents just landed. 4/5” The List
“Scotland’s strangest new band” The Scotsman
“FOUND has stumbled upon a winning formula” The Sunday Times
“a small but perfectly formed slice of pop wonder. 5/5” DMC
“Real talent to watch out for. 5/5” Big Chill
"their sound is so progressive, so completely unique, it’s demeaning to tie it to the stale confines of a label. Instead, we should be celebrating the euphoria created by their extraordinary kaleidoscopic soundscapes. 9/10" Drowned in Sound

FRIDAY 6th JUNE IS THE LAST AMPBOX!! yep, its almost over.
we've played a lot of different takes on dance music over the months, but for the last one we wanted to book straight up party DJs that we knew would have the place jumping. we've been thinking about it a long time and done just that-
* ZOMBIE DISCO SQUAD (Get Rude, London) * PRO-VINYLIST-KARIM (Rub-A-Dub, Glasgow) * JOHN M. J. FARRUGIA (Big Toes HiFi, Edinburgh)
Expect Baltimore Club, Ballie Funk, Hip-Hop, Bassline, Dancehall, Booty Bass, Electro Crunk, Ghetto Gutter House and other made up genres; and if all this isn't enough we're rolling in the Big Toes, 15k, badboy sound system for the occasion. If you've been down before you'll know what to expect, if not, come before you miss the chance. This is going to be one mother of a party.
you know, i was briefly the top FOUND listener on LastFM a few months back. i feel like this should qualify me as some kind of special fan who should perhaps be noted for his valor or mentioned in dispatches. maybe a special FOUND paper party hat...
