FRAN BARETH is FRANCISCO BORRA, an accomplished musician, producer, sound operator and DJ from Santa Fe, Argentina.
His music education combined with an intuitive sense of rhythm prepared Fran to be a multi talented artist capable of producing vocals, programming, and playing the piano and guitar.
Throughout his music career, beginning through self-instruction at the age of 13, Fran has gained great notoriety in his productions: artistic production (Psycho Project, The Bareth Sessions, La Cruda ‘Electroviajero’); live performances & DJ sets; production as sound operator: recording and mixdown; coordination of “Cátedra de Producción de Música Electrónica” of Centro de Estudios de Tecnologías Artísticas Cetear, Rosario, Argentina (since 2005); creative direction and production of Psycho Project a transcendental expression of being and feeling through sound. Psycho Project succeeds in its emotional quest through combing psychedelic pop, trip hop, subtle touches of post rock and funk.
Fran’s signature sets combine DJing & live performance using real-time sequencers, samplers, and turntables, mixed and coordinated to exquisite precision. His great ductility in the art of composition, harmony and his selections has been said to leave dance floors vibrating.
ELECTRONIC SET: Fran drops a powerful set for the demanding and refined dance floor crowds by incorporating deep grooves mixed with wacked out beats resulting in an intense dance floor energy! Bareth has played with internationally renowned DJs, musicians and producers such as Groove Armada, Deep Dish, Prodigy and Paul Oakenfold at “Creamfields Buenos Aires”, Massive Attack, Rinôçérôse, Andrew Fletcher -Depeche Mode- and Gustavo Cerati –Soda stereo- at “BUE” Buenos Aires Electrónico, Diego Ro-K at “Rosario Music Fest”, Martín Garcia and Carlos Alfonsín at “Winter Fest Pacha Bariloche”, Romina Cohn “OnRute Córdoba”, Javier Zuker at “Santa Fe Conexion”, Franco Cinelli at “404 Int. Festival” Rosario, etc.
TANGO EXPERIENCE SET: Fran’s fusion of the immense passion and soul of Tango blends elegantly with the finest notes of electronic music. The tango pulse melts uniquely with electronic beats in all his mixes and is sure to please the most refined of contemporary tango aficionado. Fran Bareth has come a long way, and his passion and expertise has afforded him to take part in the Argentinean Neotango group “San Telmo Lounge” (www.santelmolounge.com), presently in Europe featuring his production, “Electrocardiotango”.
