I like all kinds of music! My favorite is probably U2, although I cut my teeth on Bluegrass artists like Tony Rice, Sam Bush, Stuart Duncan, Bela Fleck, Jerry Douglass, Kenny Baker, Doyle Lawson, etc. I like classical composers such as Vivaldi, Bach and Mozart. I also love Guns N' Roses, Nickle Back and Van Halen. I have been getting into world music lately and also listen to arstists like Deep Forest and PortisHead.
I am a fiddle player and singer in a band called The Infamous Stringdusters. We have a Record out on Sugar Hill Records called "Fork In the Road". It was nominated for three awards at the 2007 IBMA convention and award show(International Bluegrass Music Association), including: Song of the year (Fork In the Road), emerging artist of the year and album of the year. We are excited to announce that we won all three awards including a first ever tie in the album of the year category with J.D. Crowe. I also have a Gospel record that I recorded with my dad Glen, self titled "Jeremy Garrett and Glen Garrett". It is an all bluegrass gospel album and has a 23 guests who play and sing with us. Some of them include: The Infamous Stringdusters, Chris Jones, Alicia Nugent, Audie Blaylock, Wyatt Rice, Jim Hurst and many more. You can find out more by going to www.garrettgrass.com or check out the Infamous Stringdusters at www.thestringdusters.com.
Here is my bio:
Since moving to Nashville a few years ago, Jeremy Garrett has turned heads with his soulful lead and tenor vocals, dynamic fiddle playing, and intense stage presence.
Raised in Idaho, he began fiddling as a child, cementing his skills with a stint in the Bluegrass and Country Music degree program at South Plains College in Levelland, Texas, where he was named Bluegrass Male Vocalist of the Year in 1996. From Texas, he returned to Idaho, joining his father Glen and other area musicians to form The Grasshoppers. Upon his arrival in Nashville, Jeremy collaborated with the Chris Jones Coalition, touring nationally and immersing himself in songwriting and additional stage and studio work. Jeremy teamed up with Ronnie Bowman and The Committee in the fall of 2004, and with Bowman and other members of The Committee, was part of a small acoustic ensemble backing Grammy-winning country singer Lee Ann Womack on her year-end tour. Jeremy has also played and toured with such artists as J.D. Crowe, Bobby Osborne, Audie Blaylock, Jim Hurst, The Waybacks and many others.
In 2005, Jeremy made the commitment to be a part of the group that is poised to become the most talented and creative new band on the bluegrass scene: The Infamous Stringdusters. The Infamous Stringdusters are Sugar Hill recording artists. Their first record was released February 13th, 2007 and won three awards at the IBMA Convention and award show. The awards included, Song of the Year, Emerging Artist of the year and a Tie with J.D. Crowe for album of the year, a first in history. Visit their website www.thestringdusters.com to learn where they're at and what they're doing.

Jeremy, We couldn't say enough good things about you when we summed up our US trip on the plane back to Sweden. We were so impressed by and really enjoyed everything you did for us. Top notch! :) These two weeks couldn't have been better and we really look forward to IBMA this fall... Take care now and thanks again so much!! G2 - Jens, Christoffer, Erik, Jimmy and Tobias
I got a Scherl & Roth last November... by no means spectacular, but a nice depature from the beat up, second-hand Cremona I'd had since middle school. What do you play?
No problem man, I go to all the Stringdusters concerts I can! Yeah, I'm from Boise/Nampa and I was looking on the Stringdusters page and it said you were from ID but live in Nashville now like me. I saw you guys at the Station Inn a couple weeks ago...anyways, take care man, I'm sure I'll see you around!
Hi Jeremy, I heard you playing at your European tour concert in Bratislava. I liked the sound of your fiddle very much. I would like to ask you which pickup, strings and accessories do you use. Thanks Míra, NG Taverna-fiddle, Czech Republic
Hey my friend, how are you. I hope everything is cool, the music and the life? I want to ask, how you think about my album? Best wishes and cya on myspace. Peace out – Der Reimteufel
You've come a long way since gracing Miss Wilson's orchestra class. You look great, and I'm loving your music. I'm a closet 'newgrass' freak. Shoot me an email and let me know what you're up to. When are you planning on playing back in Idaho?
Hello Jeremy, it was also my big pleasure to meet you and to sing with you on the stage. It was one of my greatest musical experience ;-). Thanks for the chance. Hope to meet you again someday. I wish you all the best!!!
Great show the other night. You guys are awesome. Made me want to go home and practice! Sorry we had to cut out early. We will def. see another show, hopefully the air will be working.
Thanks for adding me! I am a songwriter and the songs on my page are songs that I have written or co-written that I/we are shopping to country singers who are looking for fresh songs for their next CD. I recently put up a new track called ‘Country Kisses’. So if you, or someone you know may be interested in recording any of the songs on my page, please contact me to discuss!
Hey Jeremy, JL and I are going to try to bring our little family to Wyoming when you're there for the bluegrass festival so keep an eye out for us when/if we get there.
Hey my friend. In the last week I listen to the cd's you gave me and I have to say, that i'm fascinated. I'm a big fan of Jonny Cash, but now I'm also a big fan of the music you make and of the music from the infamous stringdusters. I send you greetings from germany, have a nice week and maybe we see us at the states or in germany as well.
