Influences
Briefly: Afro-American Jazz - Sun Ra, Don Cherry, Art Ensemble Of Chicago, Roland Kirk, Charles Mingus, Eric Dolphy, John Coltrane, Miles Davis, etc. Euro-Jazz - Evan Parker, Derek Bailey, John Stevens, Han Bennink, Trevor Watts, etc. R & B - Graham Bond was a very big influence on me in my teens; with Jack Bruce, Ginger Baker, & Dick Heckstall-Smith, they were the hottest fusion band around. Avant Rock = (early) Soft Machine, Zappa, Beefheart, Henry Cow, The Residents, This Heat, Faust, Gong (ok - more Space than Avant). Two of my favourite soprano players - Steve Lacy & Terry Riley. Other music - World, Contemporary, Ethnic, Electronic, Improvised. I'm still catching up on other recent musical developments, & I guess that must also influence me to some extent, even if unconsciously! Other: Performance Art in the sense that live music, dance, & theatre are performances. Painting, drawing, sculpting, writing & other "non-performing arts" can all be incorporated into this live framework.

Geoff Leigh/Yumi Hara/Tatsuya Yoshida @ Flying Teapot - Tokyo, Japan - 03/07/2009
Club Integral @ Whitechapel Gallery, 18th December 2009.
Featuring music from Lotus Pedals, Nobodies, MayMing, Boycott Coca-Cola Experience and Jack Shirt. + DJ Chris Cornetto and projections from Jaime Rory Lucy of Rucksack Cinema
Lotus Pedals: - "Gorgeous live music from the supremely strange Lotus Pedals, who remained on stage throughout the show...shambolic, bold and beautiful...offers truly unique rewards." Beccy Smith - British Theatre Guide.
Geoff, thanks for the friendship. The video and sound clips are fantastic - man, you sound better than ever! It was fun to see you playing again with Chris Cutler and John Greaves. - Mike Pascarella
Hi there! Watching the bunch of new vids - you do have some really good and joyful moments for sure. Ordered and disordered improvisations - for me it's rock n roll. And the people you're playing with on these live clips are just amazing, but we already knew that. Cheers Oax of JP
You like beer right? You might get a kick out of this Ozzy skit. Here's the new film Gabby Skab and I made last night for upcoming Pabst sales convention. The Skabs "PBR Me Right Now". http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OGPLSnltauk
NEW BOOK OUT NOW: Chthonic - Prose & Theory by Vadge Moore
"Vadge Moore is an American author and musician that has spent a lifetime testing the boundaries of good and evil. He toured and recorded with the infamous sleaze-punk institution The Dwarves, apocalyptic rock group Neither-Neither World, and his own nihilist-noise unit Chthonic Force. He has written for the early nineties occult journal Primal Chaos, the esoteric magazine Dagobert's Revenge, and the controversial web 'zine Synthesis. Recently Vadge has taken up an aphoristic-prose style of writing that best expresses his iniquitous and sinister insights into the mind of Man. Chthonic: Prose & Theory is just that; prose wedded to theory that scrutinizes the human, all too human, Monster that is Man."
"Chthonic: Prose & Theory" is a collection of perverse and violent prose wedded to his own brand of occult esoterica. Peer into the mind of one of America's greatest living libertines.
