Geoff Peters is a jazz pianist, composer, and software developer from Vancouver, BC, Canada.
Geoff is currently involved in several musical projects in the Vancouver area including his jazz group, the Geoff Peters Trio. Some CD quality downloads of Geoff's original compositions are freely available from his website at www.gpeters.com.
Geoff's interest in music and web sites has attracted local and international attention. Geoff was interviewed on CBC Radio's national program Freestyle (March 21st, 2006), and he has also appeared on Global TV and in the Vancouver Sun and Province newspapers. In 2006, links to one of his websites were discussed in the New York Times technology weblog and BBC Radio. Geoff studied jazz piano privately with Chris Sigerson, and also attended the Douglas College Jazz Intensive.
Geoff performs frequently with his trio at weddings and special events in the Vancouver area. He leads a busy life as a computer programmer as well as a composer. He is currently working on creating transcriptions of his compositions for piano students, under the mentorship of composer Joan Hansen.

You guys are great. It's kind of funny/ironic to see Canadians perform an American art form that well. I love your take on Cantaloupe Island, Herbie would be proud. I'm looking forward for new tunes (especially standards). May I recommend some Bill Evans/Scott LaFaro pieces........ Take care.
