Grumpy Cloud Records is a brand new record label based in Winnipeg, Manitoba. It is owned and operated collectively by five friends who have been making music together for many years.
While based in Winnipeg, Grumpy Cloud artists are spread out across the country, and are poised to launch an all-out invasion of Canada, using slingshots, harpsichords and harmonies. Stay tuned for tour dates.
Grumpy Cloud's current roster of artists includes Use Every Part of the Deer, politico-jangle-zouk-pop act The Consumer Goods, sugar-death-zouk-country-alt boppers Lonely Hunters, and The Haste. Grumpy Cloud is also the parent of the experimental electro-mess-magic-murder-folk act Transmitter Down, and was formed around the back catalogue of the legendary and life-altering songs of Gareth Williams in the now-defunct cowpunk trailblazers the Horribly Awfuls. Also included in the back catalogue are countless solo and collaborative projects between and among various members of the collective.
