In March 2007 Hay Barns on fire! set off on a musical pursuit for all sounds gentle, discordant, harmonic, and noisy, in equal measures. The called themselves Hay barns on fire! in testimony to the Country and Western music they were forced to listen to, repeatedly, as young, impressionable children. Drawing together all their influences they set about writing songs in the rural surroundings in which they grew up --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ffurfiwyd y band Hay Barns on Fire! yn mis Mawrth 2007, mewn ymgyrch i greu cerddoriaeth swnllyd, swynol, aflafar, a prydferth, mewn mesurau hafal. Gelwir y band Hay Barns on Fire! mewn teyrnged i’r cerddoriaeth Canu Gwlad cafodd ei chwarae drosodd a throsodd i’r bechgyn ifanc, gan ei rhieni. Gan tynnu holl dylanwadau’r bechgyn at ei gilydd, fe aeth y tri ati i greu cerddoriaeth yn yr ardal gwledig lle cafwyd ei magu.
We are now looking for bands and acoustic artists for various slots at the 2008 Festival on the 1st - 3rd August with up to 10,000 people attending. If you want to be considered to play at the 2008 festival, send us a demo cd, full contact details [including myspace], and band/artist biography as soon as possible.

since your north wales tour is nearly upon us, i will deffo be attending the wrexham gig on the monday, and since i live but 30 mins away would you like to come for sunday lunch and a bevvy in my village? you could even stay? i could be a photographer (i have artistic flare) but bring me a camera (a digi one may be preferable as i don't want to break any posh, long-lensed things)
