Hi, my name is George Tabb, and while I really HATE to do THIS, I have to ASK for YOUR HELP.

Actually, it makes me angry to no end to even have to think about doing this. You see, I was living by the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001 when those mass murderers attacked our country and killed a lot of my friends.

To make things worse, they left a mess that OUR OWN GOVERNMENT denies exists. What kind of mess? The debris from two of the largest buildings in the world collapsing. While common sense would tell ANYONE that the air is dangerous, especially with the fires burning and all, our own government with THE EPA lied to our faces.

They said it was safe, and we should continue to live near the smoking crematorium.

AFTER getting sick and doing some of my own investigating, I found, what of course, were shocking results. The air WAS POISON and it WAS going to KILL PEOPLE. Hell, it was already making people with pre-existing conditions a lot worse. You know, like if you had asthma, it was harder to breathe. The same thing happened with my stomach.

Did anyone believe me?

Not really.

So I took action. I went on TV, in magazines, and in newspapers, telling anyone I could that this was not a good situation. Mostly I was laughed at and called controversial. Then when our government started offering EVERYONE in New York City FREE air filters, I could see a pattern emerging.

Fix this giant wound with a band-aid.

Well, that wound has grown into a full blown infection that is now killing residents, workers, and rescuers alike. And that includes ME.

Why do I hate this so much? Because I’m the one who saw this coming a mile away. I said everywhere I could there was going to be fallout and cancer clusters. Most people’s answers were to snicker behind my back and call me “Henny Penny”. People like Fox News.

Well folks, the sky did fall, and now I’m sick.

A TON of money was raised for 911 victims. Where is that money? The hell if I know. I got some of it to help me move away after a year and a half of living hell. A little. A very little. And, everything I owned ended up in a landfill in Staten Island.

Now it’s 2006, and I have found myself bankrupt and divorced (very related to 911), and really sick.

I have had over a foot of my large intestines removed, two more surgeries on that area, and now, a raging infection that seems to be very “mysterious”.

My doctor tells me I need all these expensive tests to find out what’s going .. I die, and when I turned to our own government, all I have faced is red-tape, and the sorry excuse that “there just isn’t funding available for this sort of thing”. It makes me want to break things.

I KNEW THIS WAS COMING.

I can’t work because I can’t stay healthy, or even get healthy, and the hell if I’m going on public assistance. Because that’s just what they want. Me to be another “victim” of this whole mess, and have to depend on them, when they lied in the first place - enough so that lots of us are sick.

NO.

I’m asking for your help. I need donations. Money sent to me through the address given or even better, through the PAY-PAL thing I’ve set up. And I need this money quickly. The clock is ticking away and if the doctors can’t find what’s wrong with me and treat it on time, well, just add my name to that list of those who perished on September 11th.

This SUCKS.

I’ve done benefits for others all of my life, and it’s come to this. Having to ask for money to SAVE MY OWN LIFE. Many of you may think just because I have 2 books out, and stuff like that, I’ve got funding. Truth is, fame and fortune do NOT go hand in hand. I’m broke, and don’t know what to do except this. I will be very happy if people buy my books, so please do. But right now, if I don’t get some help, I won’t be able to write anymore. And that’s what I want to do. Write more books, live a normal life, and continue to speak out and help those around me.

So please, give whatever you can. Because the United States Government acts like I don’t exist. And that’s a damn shame. Because I LOVE this country. I love America. For the opportunities it affords to all of us. There is no place better on the planet. I love what America stands for. Truth, Justice, and Freedom.

And I’d die for this country. But I just don't want to go out like this. Not this way. It's just wrong.

NEW!!!

Everyone, thank you for everything, but, I still need your help.

I’ve been through too many surgeries and hospital visits, and truthfully, I can’t pay for them. I can’t even afford to go see doctors now - and need too. This whole mess has left me weak and sick - and depressed. So please....

I am very vocal on this issue, appearing in magazines and newspapers, and have even been talking to The Mayors office and to Senator Clinton’s office.

Clinton’s office told me that the republicans turned down a bill to help some of us sick people, and we’ll have to wait for the next session. COME ON.....some of us may not make it that long. This in not a right vs. left issue...it’s right vs. wrong. It’s wrong to let volunteers, first responders, residents, workers, and most of all, firemen and cops get sick and die - and without dignity.

I was really angry last week when I saw on the news that the government is allowing funds to “study” people sick and dead from the post 9/11 fall out - but there is no money to help them. Help us. This means they will study us like lab rats..which they’ve already been doing. Like with the WTC health registry. They want to try to establish a “link”, if there is any, between the people who are sick and people who died, and the dust from 9/11. That’s like looking at a bunch of corpses riddled with bullet holes and wondering what killed these people. COME ON.....

Please...help me so I can continue to get medical help, get better, get perscriptions that I need, and help others in the same situation as me, and just others as well. As I’ve done all my life. I wish I could work. I wish that, hell, I could leave the house for more than a couple of hours at a time...but my immune system is shot. I’m trying to work from home...but that’s a work in progress.

Anyway, please help anyway you can. Donate some money, put my banner on your webpage. Anything. Like I’ve said, I saw this comming, and now it’s here, and now, NOW, the media is paying attention. But nothing is being done to help....not yet. And time is of the essance...

How many more familes have to be destroyed from that horrible day before our government takes care of it’s own? How many families have to live with this frustration - and remain silent or they’ll lose their pensions?

How the hell can we rebuild Iraq if we can’t even take care of our own?

The New York Times just came out with an article that blames the lack of masks instead of telling people the truth. And ignores workers and residents alike. A line in the story that really bothers me on a personal level is "But several recent health studies have shown that exposure to ground zero dust has caused serious respiratory and gastrointestinal problems in hundreds of people who worked at the site" Gee? Really????.
