About IN DREAD RESPONSE (NEW LAYOUT & VIDEO UP NOW!!!)
In Dread Response are a five piece metal band hailing from Auckland City, New Zealand.
Having spent the better part of two years preparing their exceptional live act it becomes very evident it's been far too long since you have seen this amount of energy and power on stage.
With their music based on melody and intensity, In Dread Response succeeds in evoking emotions usually reserved for tragic epic movie moments and near death experiences. Combining all these elements makes for a very addictive listening experience and an even more hair raising live experience.
'From the Oceanic Graves', is In Dread Response's first full length album released on Deadboy Records and achieves no less than melodic metal bliss. Clocking in at just under 62 minutes it's quickly clear that this is one of the, 'must own' CD's to add to your collection and one of the most unique and heart felt metal albums to be released this side of 1988.
It's clear they have set out to make a mark on the Australasian metal scene and have succeeded. Having completed numerous nationwide tours with NZ metal heavyweights 8 Foot Sativa as well as headlining dates across the ditch in Australia.
"'From The Oceanic Graves' is a moody and very deep album filled with intense songs and brilliant arrangements. With a concise understanding of the art of dramatic melody and sweeping in and out of heaving crescendos, In Dead Response effortlessly build a wicked soundscape of huge proportions here. An outstanding release from a band that's going places." ***** - Rip it Up Magazine

Media Club, Detour Basement, and for a really big gig, the Bedford. I'm putting on a North Island tour for my band and my friends' in Of Blackest Oceans for January, and organising a gig at the media club as the last date on that tour. It'd be sweet to catch up with you again in Auckland Trajan!
New video's fucking sick, never enough cabs though!
Yeah we know Ivy :) she's a nice girl to say such things about us. Shamus and Chris have really stepped up their song writing and things are progressing faster than expected.
We're coming to Auckland next year. Would love to tie that in with an International, though at this stage looks like we will tour the album organizing our own shows.
I've been following your works for a while (used to live in Auckland). Keep up the good shit and hopefully we cross paths in the near future.
