Japhy's Descent was officially formed in August of 2008. The melodic tunes of connections lost and connections to come fuel the experience and the potential of everyday. The nature of our project has grown to include more characters. My name is Travis Furnald and I provide the vocals, acoustic guitar, harmonica and writing for Japhy's Descent. Simple tunes that remind me of why I love life so much :) Our lead shifts from the availibility of one to the availbility of the other and Martin and Boyer in their own unique ways push the music to another level creating space and movement. Mark and Scott sit in a similar boat alternating shows and songs on bass guitar. Caleb Snow is our drummer... and a hell of a one at that and on Stowe is our latest addition full time on keys. With different influences and a common love of music we have created something for every age, gener, and for music lunatics everywhere. We only create the music, you make it worth the while! We hope you enjoy our music! We hope you fuel the experience!
"The only people for me are the mad ones, the ones who are mad to live, mad to talk, desirious of everything at the same time, who never say a
common place thing but burn, burn like fabulous roman candles like spiders over the night sky and in the center you can see the bluelight pop..." -jk

*** Note: PLEASE IDENTIFY IF YOU ARE IN GROUP 1 OR 2 IN THE SUBJECT LINE OF YOUR RESPONSE. Emails are being reviewed by different representatives.
1. A Pop/Rock/Commercial band with female lead. Band must consist of 2 guitars (Prefer both guitar players to be of lead caliber. However, one lead and one rhythm is acceptable), keyboard/piano, bass, and drums. Lead vocal, followed by backing vocals, in that order, is a plus as it relates to other members of the group. 2. A Modern Rock band with male lead. Must be a complete band but there are no prerequisites as it relates to the make up of the band. Average age of the band cannot exceed 23 years of age.
* Group must have an outstanding lead vocalist. ** Musicianship throughout the entire band must be very strong. *** Group cannot currently be under any contract of any type that is related to the music industry.
XXX - If you meet the minimum qualifications as described above. Email a link for your MySpace Page and if applicable, a link for your website to: recordingartistsearch@gmail.com

After review of your material, you will only be contacted if there is an interest in attending one of your shows by a label representative. As such please to not send any follow up emails regarding selections. If you were not contacted back, there was not an interest.
Oh God No is participating in a battle of the bands today at 9:30 at the Upper Deck in Scottsdale. We are competing for a spot on The Edge 103.9 Third Thursday event, so we need your support! If not, we are still playing on the 10th at Big Fish!
