Jim Reitzel is currently the head engineer at Nardada Michael Walden's Tarpan Studios in San Rafael, California. He has worked with such artists as Carlos Santana, Gloria Estefan, Smokey Robinson, Chad Kroger, James Brown, and scores of others in the past five years.
Prior to his current star-studded gig, he owned and operated Jim
Reitzel Productions. Clients included Windham Hill Records, Narada
Records, Discovery Records, MCA Records, Citibank, Levis, Old Milwaukee
Beer, and PBS. He also recorded albums for such artists as David
Grisman, Night Ranger, Jerry Garcia, Michael Hedges, Will Ackerman,
Flora Purim, and countless others.
As a bass guitar player, Jim has been recording and touring with Craig Chaquico (formerly of Jefferson Starship) since 1992.
