My friend Hans Maria Kneihs organized a gig at Porgy and Bess during the Spring of 2005. I wrote Rust and Here and Gone for that date. We did not have a lot of time to rehearse and the quality of the recording is poor...so this was like most of the gigs I've done: we had fun playing music. Michael, Sasha, and Ulli were great to work with and so was Klaus Gesing who sat in with us during the 2nd set. The tune I am calling Here and Gone had no title when we played it. The entire performance is rough and, like I said, the sound quality is lousy...Solos are Sasha, Michael, then me. The excerpt from Rust is edited down, just the head (not so well played but best we could do under the circumstances) and my solo....Michael Kneihs wrote L'Etoile...
Wild Is The Wind was performed by Becky Rubin during a recital at the New England Conservatory. I think it was Spring of 2003 or 2004. I'm working on getting the whole thing loaded....
