“Joel Streeter is truly one of the best undiscovered musicians around. He is bound to be a household name within a very short period of time.”
– Scott Tinetti, Host of Insomnia Radio: San Francisco
“… [ Hear Me Out’s ] fantastic! Trying to pin down my favorite track & keep bouncing around.”
- Kelly Ransford, Programming Director, KFOG (northern California's largest radio station)
“A pop classic ... an artist that comes out of right field with another sound that is just waiting to be discovered. Streeter's refreshing sound shows that he has what it takes to define a genre ....”
- Caroline Leonardo, Evolution of Media
The Joel Streeter Band, Live @ the Fillmore Auditorium, Jan. '08
After fronting a popular band in Washington, D.C. (Spy Cellar), Joel moved to San Francisco in 2003. Teaming with producer Jerry Becker (Pat Monahan of Train, The Bittersweets) he self-released Hear Me Out in 2006. Joel's music is regularly heard on Bay Area radio station KFOG, and tracks from Hear Me Out are featured on the KFOG Local Scene - Volume 4 Compilation. Joel's music will also be featured in the soundtrack to the 2008 season of PBS’s popular television program Roadtrip Nation.
"Hey everybody ... thanks for checking out the site. 2008 was a great year for us here in San Francisco as we played pretty much most of the major venues (Fillmore Auditorium, Great American Music Hall, Cafe Du Nord, Red Devil Lounge, etc.), and had the opportunity to open up for some amazing musicians, including Ian Ball of Gomez and Phil Lesh of The Grateful Dead.
We're off to a great start in 2009 as well. Right now, I'm focused primarily on finishing up the second album. I'm psyched to be working with Jerry again, along with a number of new artists that weren't involved with the first album, including Max Delaney (Uncle Sammy) who will be adding some sick solo work on the guitar and Jim Bogios (Counting Crows, Sheryl Crow) on the drums.
We're hoping to be on tour soon to promote the new album. Let me know if you've got a local venue we should check out! Until then ... --Joel"
