Kid C Live at The Metro. Watch it now!
Last year Kid Confucius wrapped up the Street Corner Soul Tour with a bang at Sydney's hallowed Metro Theatre.
Feel free to share and send the footage to as many people as you like!
New Kid C Guitarist
Kid C's longtime guitarist, Ray Wassef has recently departed the band to focus on his solo project, The Ray Mann Three. We're sad to see him go, but we're happy for him as he continues to build the Ray Mann project into something special. As the band moves forward towards new tours and a new album we have welcomed James Manson, a young gun with a true spark, into the fold. James brings with him a distinctive sound, attitude and presence as a guitarist that has played a big role already in helping to shape the new Kid C album and sound. We're all totally excited by what's in store...
The Band...
Kid Confucius released their sophomore album, Stripes, in 2007 heralding a new sound for the band and a pioneering step forward for soul music in Australia. Bigger steps are expected for the next album, coming in 2008.
Eight-piece Sydney band, Kid Confucius boldly go where few groups have gone before: they deftly bridge the gap between old school soul, modern hip hop and rock n roll, while remaining wholly within the live arena. Forming in Sydney, the members of Kid Confucius came together from all over Australia’s east coast, joined by a common allegiance to soul and rock music’s royalty who held court in the 60s and 70s, and their musical descendants who reign over the soul, hip hop and rock worlds today.
