Long train journeys alone, sleep paralysis, the state of the world, staying up too late, losing yourself, doubt, red kites, landscapes, mindscapes, sunrise, sunset, space, misery and loneliness, mystery, tragedy, disaster and nature.

This, apparently:
"Truth be told, though, this compilation is worth the meagre price alone, for Ekca Liena’s stunning “Fire Emerging From Mist”. Aptly titled, this track builds several minutes worth of a glacial guitar and synth progression before literally erupting with waves of monolithic, distorted fury."
(Michael Henaghan, Angry Ape)

"Highly recommended hypnotic ambience for drunken nights, or watching the sun rise, or watching fire emerge from mist. Stars of the Lid meet Mogwai with hints of Tim Hecker. Or something. Musical Equations R Us. This track is the soundtrack to your drunken, shimmering evenings, when the hope is high and mighty through the haze."
(Daniel Gregory, Dead Pilot Records)

“While this could be regarded as essentially a companion piece to ‘Missing Weeks,’ as a standalone piece, it could well be considered the album’s single most beautiful moment. Its dense, almost symphonic textures recall the likes of Fennesz or Eno at his most emotionally devastating, but the track’s glacial drift belies a melodic awareness that few ambient composers can match. Were its length to be doubled or even tripled, this track would still be at least 10 minutes too short but at a mere 7 minutes, its remains the most emotionally exhausting piece of ambient music you’re ever likely to hear.”
(Joe Marshall on "We Are Dying Flames")

"Chang chih-ho loved to drink wine, and when inhebriated used to play his lute all night long without resting. One evening there suddenly appeared a grey crane, which danced round about him. Chang then took his lute, and riding on its back, disappeared into the sky."
Robert Hans van Gulik - 'The Lore of the Chinese Lute'
That's a lot of release :-) I've been meaning to pick up an Under the Spire release - they look rad. The "Drones Between Homes"-cover picture you've got in your gallery looks incredible (!!!) - do you make all the artwork yourself??
Yes, I was actually looking for some of your physical releases the other day but couldn't find any of them - sold out I suppose (no wonder...). Will pick up the slow music re-issue when it comes out. :-)
I'm really (!!) glad you like it!!!! :-) And nops: only as a free download thingy.
Hi! Thanks for the add. Actually, I've been listening to your myspace tracks the last couple of days (don't know why I havn't added you..) and I really them a lot!!!!

to be honest, we don't think it's really fair to charge anyone because of the shockingly bad quality of our music, so the only way people will listen to it is for free - if you scan through the blogs, all our records are 'pon the download. We had a couple of things released on super cool formats like tape (retro) and that, but they're long gone I'm afraid
