KODIAK JACK are a rapidly ascending Portsmouth-based band, comprising of Bryn (vocals),
Matt (drums), Ed (bass), Jeff (lead guitar) and Ant (guitar and backing vocals).
Main influences range between Grunge, Blues and Hard Rock, culminating in infectious melodies, anthemic hooks, and some classic rock riffs to make KODIAK JACK one of the most exciting new outfits on the South Coast.
Ever the consummate live act; KODIAK JACK have already supported the NME and Radio 1-touted Red Light Company, Haunts and Animal Kingdom, gaining local radio rotation and increasingly fervent live support. The winning combination of a hernia-inducing rhythm section, screaming solos and some of the most dynamic vocals since Scott Weiland have given the band a fearsome local live reputation that is growing by the day.
Debut single ‘THEM’ (available from www.angry-badger-records.co.uk) is an undulating, tumultuous nugget of squalling guitars, pile-driving rhythm and epic vocals, boasting sordidly huge hooks and a chorus so catchy that it should be quarantined; becoming a firm live favourite and pulverising set closer.
Next release the 'Bunny Girl EP', appeared from the Angry Badger Recodrs shelves on 15th August. The cd showcases the song writing talents of the band by being half full on rock gems and the other half acoustic interpretations of othe tracks in KODIAK JACKS repertoire. Any one could be a single in its own right so having them all together in one place is a must for fans.
With more gigs and a second release to shortly follow, keep an eye on KODIAK JACK. This is only the beginning…
