The band name "LACTOSE QUERVO" is the first hint that this band is unique. It's purpose is to make sure it's a name you won't forget. Accomplished guitarist, Sean Hanlon, who has played with the likes of BUZZY MEEKINS, (former bass player of MOLLY HATCHET, THE OUTLAWS, and THE DEREK TRUCKS BAND), was inspired by the early acoustic experimental sound and energetic stage presence of the then three piece group. After the addition of the Stratocaster, the band went electric, the sound became larger and musical dynamite was created.
Lead singer Monique whose soulful voice shifts in presentation from a whisper to a forcefield of powerful sound like background singers of another time is supported by the funky bass lines of Brian Oaksford and the intricate drumwork of Darren Herrett. Combine this with the complex guitarwork by Sean you're left with a impression of their own special music that will ring in your ears, heart and soul well after each song is finished.
The band creates music influenced by their energy. The lyrics by heartfelt emotions. They present a wide range of stylings within which you can see a common theme of chameleon transformation from gentle melodic rock to mind bending psychedelica. LACTOSE QUERVO is a highly creative original rock band that allows each member to draw from all their early influences and experiences to create a one-of-a-kind musical soup. A live show is a musical rollercoaster for your ears and will leave you wanting more.
