   LDP Distro & Info's Blurbs
About me:
Lillis Distro/Pittsburgh started in December 2005 when I moved to Pittsburgh from NYC and wanted to bring my small press friends with me. Right now I distribute some titles from Blurred Books, Fractious Press, P & Q Press, Undie Press, Fugue State Press, and Words Like Kudzu Press. Periodicals: Blatt Magazine, New York Nights, Pulse/Berlin.

Distro & Info: I'm interested in finding ways to help small presses and especially micro presses get a higher profile, find their intended audience, and get their books bought by libraries, which are a great market, especially in this age of so much buzz about the impending "death of books."

I plan to blog about topics of relevance and interest to small press folk as often as I can. So, read the blog! And send me questions if there's something you want to see addressed.

I also try to repost (as bulletins) many of the literary and small press bulletins I receive, in the interest of being a clearinghouse of this kind of info.
Who I'd like to meet:

C(o)urt Interpretations is the first full-length collection by one of Slovenia’s most provocative young poets, Aleš Mustar. In Mustar’s court, consumerism stands on trial alongside “post-post-modernism” and Dostoevsky. With his witty philosophical riffing on the trappings and evasions of contemporary society, Mustar sharply demonstrates what it means to poeticize with a gavel.

Ancestor Worship
MICHAEL S. BEGNAL
(Salmon Poetry)

--------------------------------

12.00 Euro | Paperback | 130 x 204mm | 72 pages | ISBN 978-1-903392-54-3 | September 2007

"Unusual routes become strategies. Mike Begnal is Irish-American, he writes in English and Irish, he can invent a hybridisation of st yle. Ancestor Worship is an extension of this, it can take on a new romancing and deciphering: 'the warm blood / that flows through to this age, / dangerous and violent in veins...' Likewise a journey or pilgrimage can be undertaken somewhere, from 'olive-green felt couch' to 'olive sky'. The essential is no one has been quite there before, along the genealogy or amid the furniture." --James Liddy
