About me:
Normal service has resumed at Old Street’s favourite boozer The Legion after its short break. Now thoroughly refreshed and lovingly restored to its former glory, its back to business. Let’s get one thing straight though, we're not launching a new bar. After all, we were pretty fond of the old one. The spirit of The Legion lives on and our ethos is the same, but the sofas are comfier, the bar is freshly stocked and our commitment to live music endures.Yes indeed, sitting pretty at the heart of Shoreditch we love the everyday hustle and bustle of this vibrant neighbourhood. And yes, if you believe the hype Shoreditch is a pretty trendy place to hang out. However being trendy has never been high on our agenda. We prefer to focus on getting the fundamentals right: establishing a cosy friendly atmosphere; stocking our bar with a mouth-watering range of beers cocktails and spirits; and providing a stage of mind-boggling array of killer bands and DJs week in, week out.
Upping the ante behind the bar, we’ve got a little something for you no matter what your tipple. bottled beers and premium spirits are plentiful; we’ve developed a new wine list (with some of our favourites by the glass; and our lip smacking cocktail list, devised by resident genius Andy Campana (winner of Time Outs “Best Bar” award 2008 for The Loft Clapham) and packed with vitamins antioxidants, super foods and the like, will provide a welcome boost to your physical wellbeing. Taking advantage of the freshest ingredients we can lay our hands on we pay homage to the mighty pomegranate via our Pomegranate Daiquiri and the Himalayan Goji berry in our Super berry Sling. Of course the tea drinkers amongst you might flavour the Zen Mitch Martini (flavoured with homemade green chai tea sugar syrup) or indeed The Nelson (made with our homemade rooiboos tea).
