I started playing bass guitar when I was 16 years old. I was completely enchanted by this instrument after seeing a local band playing in their rehearsal room. Soon Steve Harris of Iron Maiden became one of my main influences. I refused to play with a pick. The way Steve Harris played the bass guitar with his fingers was the ultimate hard rock style for me. Also Nikki Sixx of Mötley Crüe was one of my bass player heroes. To me Sixx symbolises rock all the way. He was also the reason my first bass guitar was a 4-string BC-Rich Bitch. Along the way I switched from a 4 string to a 5 string (Stuart Spector Design - active). I felt limited with a 4-string and wanted to feel more low bass in my guts.
Over the years I played in several bands from glam-rock till progressive metal and alternative rock. March 2008 I joined the Robby Valentine band as a fulltime bass player and switch bass guitar. I play now MAYONES (5-string), Victorious-5 model in a LILO version.

Danielle en ik gaan vrijdag naar Londen. Even een weekend break en John West en Lonnie Park (van Ten Man Push) zien die spelen daar zondagavond in een pub.
