we'll add that: we met in Chapel Hill in January of 2009 and have been playing ever since. Andrew moved to Chapel Hill from Warrenton, NC in 2008 to complete his first album (myspace.com/drusmus). I (Emily) grew up in Chapel Hill and have played here for the past several years. Aside from the occasional standard or familiar cover we perform, Andrew writes a delicious array of songs. They span many genres but maintain a folk sound with powerful lyrics and haunting melodies.

my friends and i spent a week camping on ocracoke island last summer and saw you play at the ocrafolk festival. your set was incredible and has become one of the highlights of our trip. we still have your music stuck in our heads and i cannot tell you how excited i am to know you'll be playing next year! i'll never go another summer again without ocracoke and i hope you two don't either!

Great show on Ocracoke yesterday. Finally got to see ya'll after hearing about you all summer. Great vocals and performance as well as songwriting. Loved the Gillian Welch too. Man I love yall, and andrew I miss the heck outta you man. Everything you two put into your work is just amazing, so humbly profound and so damn enjoyable. Again you found a fan in me man, and I'm lookin forward to seeing it all live.

hey there, i saw yall play in Ocracoke the ohter week, and it was fucking amazing. that dash song made me cry...please post it up some time...i wanted to buy a cd, but i live on a sailboat, and dont really get to listen to music unless it's live.
