MATT ELTRINGHAM: Truth Guitar
Truth Guitar is a must have "guitar album" with well crafted guitar riffs, beautiful melodies and clever phrasing reminiscent of Satriani. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
Michael Molenda of Guitar Player Magazine writes:
Revving up with distorted volume swells, ..Aviator.. kicks in the burners with a propulsive and biting groove, and then lifts off with some stratospheric harmony lines. And this ..jet.. must be zooming with the Blue Angels, because there are plenty of shred-powered dives, loops, tailslides, barrel rolls, and hammerheads in this track. Eltringham..s tone is saturated, yet steely, and every note is crystal clear. In addition to being a delicious guitarfest, ..Aviator.. is also a well-written, well-produced song.
Influences
Joe Satriani, Paul Gilbert, Greg Howe, King's X, George Lynch, Alex Lifeson, Neil Schon, Collective Soul
Sounds Like
A perfectly distorted furnace blast of guitar shredding through your eardrums and sending chills straight up your spine. . . pretty cool!

FEATURED IN GUITAR PLAYER MAGAZINE FEB 2007 !!!
I started playing guitar when I was 7. My younger influences were Kiss, Rush, The Cars, Van Halen, Pink Floyd and Aerosmith to name a few. As a teenager, I would come home and play my guitar for hours, copying Yngwie Malmsteen, George Lynch and Paul Gilbert licks. By age 18 I was teaching 20 students a week while working at a local music store. I had a great chance meeting with Greg Howe at a personal appearance and took a few lessons with him. I played in several original Philly area bands including Love Bomb and Deep Six until taking a break in 1995. I started playing on my church's worship team in 2000 and got a new focus for my music. So, I began writing and recording "Truth Guitar" in March of 2005. I released the CD in April of 06. Please BUY IT! I was featured in the February 2007 issue of Guitar Player Magazine and received a great review. You can buy my CD online at www.cdbaby.com/cd/eltringham

Yeah. Afro gone and extra weight. I turned in to my dad.
OMG!!! Fred really did make it big. He always was beyond talented. Good for him. I remember when we were in high school and he would play Neal Peart's licks at 14 years old. Good for him.
Your guitar playing is fantastic. Tone, phrasing everything. Knocked me out dude! Last time we played together was in my basement about 25 years ago. You turned me on to Yngwie and ruined my wrist forever ;)
Keep in touch. I'm in Lancaster. Not too far away from you. Maybe we can meet and do some catching up. You can give me some speed picking lessons;) I've been a blues player for the last 15 years so I can use a kick. Take care bro!
thanks for adding me matt if you're wondering who i am i'm matt cilladi's friend (pretty sure he's one of the people you teach guitar to!) so just saying hi your music is really good!
Hey Matt, thanks for the add. You too have some awesome music bro, thank you for your compliment. Yup, ive tried many guitars in my time, i always end up playing an ibanez. All the best AL
Hey Matt... Surfing the web from a Long Island hotel and just wanted to throw some respect your way. Anyone can slap the word 'Christian' in their genre list, but the way you helped us out with our Labor Day car-tastrophe says more about your path than a hundred songs. Thanks again for sacrificing a couple of hours to help us out!
dude uncle bob's... sept. 21st and 22nd... hope to see you there! just got back from a tour of canada - niagra to ottawa, eh! nice family trip. talk to you soon. hope all is well with you and yours. peace, drummerchick
I'm using POD pro 2 (at here we called POD Apple coz as like apple) with floorboard, and guitar Ibanez RG570EXRBF and sometimes I used Fender stratocaster for vintage sound. for distortions or overdrive I'm using BOSS Overdrive OD-1 (just two knob, level&overdrive) and I'm searching for Distortions DS-1 but hard to find it here, I just find Turbo Distortion DS-2.
for live I don't have amp :P I was sold my Peavey Bandit 122, now I'm searching for amp, maybe I will buy Orange if I have enough money:)
sir, could you take some photo your gear?
I'm glad to have u as friends, hope you can share everything about guitar :)
Welcome, Matt, to my other myspace site... the one with the songs that keep me up till 2 AM and cause marital disputes :-) Hope all is well with the girls and that work thing is progressing for you. If you are going to Mark's(Bob's) over Labor day let me know the days.... I might do an overnighter with the wee one and me alone as Donna is busy and is far less enamoured of camping life and food than I am :-) I'll be hotel bound in Long Island on business for about 40% of September, so I am cramming family time in now and recording songs like a crazed banshee.
