Stat (Gabe Chandler) is, in fact, an academic statistician at Connecticut College in New London, CT. The former front man for the Subterranean Beet Cooperative, Stat has performed on stages from California to New York. He is a member of New London's 8 piece fusion band Above/Below. He is a member of of Frequency Activism, who along side vocalists Hired Gun, Mista Mayday, and Paintdragon, released their debut album Hip Hop In Strange Places in late 2007, which is available for free download. He is 1/3rd of the Howardlife Crew with Minneapolis resident Risto-K and Dubai's Unfeasibly Fresh Paul. They introduced the world to Howardisms with Petes, Ryans and Howardlife, released in 2007, featuring production from 3 continents and a guest appearance from 1976 boxing Olympic Gold Medalist Howard Davis, Jr. They raised the Howardism game in June of 2009 with the release of (Marty Like Some) Jacquestars. He has appeared on Hired Gun's The People's Verses (URB Next 100) as well as albums by Mista Mayday (Public Property) and 2Fly Shirpas (The Ladies Department, When 2Fly Met Howardlife). He has appeared on tracks by producers from 8 different countries.
