About me:

WSO New Logo

(Wo)Men Speak Out™ is a non-profit organization dedicated to eradicating rape, sexual assault and gender violence. We seek to educate and represent equally survivors of both genders, cultivating healthy relationships and gender equity.

WSO Minizine:

Not quite a newsletter, not quite a magazine, our Minizine will touch upon topics that affect our daily lives, the people we love and the communities we live in. A quarterly collaboration of authors, writers and survivor stories, bringing food for thought to survivors, advocates and those wanting to become more involved in the fight to end abuse.

WSO Video Series

This video series (Wo)Men Speak Out was created by Christopher & Ophelia de Serres, in response to the overwhelming number of male and female survivors of abuse and their loved ones who are eager to share their stories and work together to end the cycle of violence in their communities and worldwide.

(Wo)Men Speak Out™ touches upon topics that are both sensitive and thought provoking intended to create dialog and encourage positive action and community reform surrounding issues of anti-violence.

Christopher de Serres is the Co-Founder of (Wo)Men Speak Out™ and Editor of Minizine, a WSO quarterly online publication. A freelance writer with a lifelong passion of the psychology and sociology, Chris has explored such subjects as the emotional and cultural impacts of abuse, gender constraints and recidivism in our communities. While much of his work serves his passions, he explores subjects that both educate and explore a more globally diverse context to include cultural variousness and the impact humans are having on the environment. During his free time, Chris is an avid rock climber and curious tourist. He currently lives in Seattle, WA.

Through her work as Director of Ophelia's Love and Co-Founder of (Wo)Men Speak Out™, Ophelia de Serres has a style that is uniquely her own. She draws from her personal experience as a survivor of CSA, intimate partner violence and over 5 years as an Assaulted Women & Children's Advocate. Having previously served as the Director of Operations for the Angela Shelton Foundation, Ophelia is currently on the board of directors for An Infinite Mind, Inc., a national organization that provides education and advocacy for D.I.D and related disorders. A singer/songwriter, her music promotes the commonality and adversity that is faced by survivors in a format that transcends the listener. During her free time, Ophelia enjoys writing, rock climbing, meditation and yoga.

What is reality? I think that reality is what we believe, if you disagree please ask your self this question: Do you believe in reality? If you do then reality is what you believe.

So if reality is what we believe then reality is subjected to change based on our beliefs.

I think that, It does not matter anymore what we believe if we know The Truth.

There are many love reality's which are subject to change but Gods love is always the same and only true love that last forever...

Thank you and I am sorry if I offended anyone including you with my beliefs...

What is truth? Well, I see truth as the meaning of what it means. For example;

Lie is not the truth but meaning of it is the the truth.

Here is another example; Lets say it is 1942 and I am hiding Jewish people in the house at some time German troops came to the house and asked me if I have seen any strangers or Jews and because of my believe I would lie to them and say no. What I told was a lie but meaning of it was justified. As you can see Lie is a lie but meaning of it is truth of good, mistaken or evil intention..

Lie is not the truth but the meaning of it is the truth.

Thank you and I am sorry if I offended anyone including you with my beliefs...

What I think about sin.

I think that, sin means to be irresponsible with gift of life for example, selfish, greedy, etc but not having desire to be responsible for example being ignorant and still doing the same that led to sin in first place will lead to losing that responsibility (free will).

I think that sacrificing others for our irresponsibility will still lead to sin and those who sacrifice life of others for them self shall lose life of their own to those who they sacrificed.

Thank you and I am sorry if I offended anyone including you with my beliefs.

Hello and how are you? I would like to share some of my thoughts with you if you do not mind.

I believe that we are here to express our heart true desires and it's reflection. I believe that we are here not to prove to God of who we are but to our self for God can see our heart true reflection. I believe that our one and true religion is life without it we would not have anything to believe in. Life can be influenced by many things but our heart will accept and reflect things that it truly desires and that would not change regardless if we believe that God exists or not.

I think, most of us get hurt more not by others but by our self's by allowing sin to influence us with sin. Please do not let sin to influence you with sin but with understanding of it.

I think, that we are judging ourselves every time by what we do or don't do, say or don't say. Our judgment is based on our beliefs. So what we do is based on our judgment influenced by our heart desires .It looks like we already judged our self's and at the end of our life we will see our heart true reflection. Thank you and I am sorry if I offended anyone including you with my beliefs.

Hello, I like to ask questions about life. For example, I ask how much people and I love God.
Well, one day I got the answer to that question. And the answer is.

Q: How much do I love God? A: I love God as much as I love others.

Sorry if I offended anyone with my comment.

Thank you and I would like to wish you the best that life has to offer.

~ The moment of enlightenment is when a person's dreams of possibilities become images of probabilities.
The very least you can do in your life is to figure out what you hope for.
And the most you can do is live inside that hope.
Not admire it from a distance but live right in it, under its roof.
Reach high, for stars lie hidden in your soul.
Dream deep, for every dream precedes the goal.~
