I was born in the quiet suburb of Garden City Park, NY and whenever there were waves, I was in the back of someones car or driving to the beach instead of doing chores or playing football. I mean, how can you be expected at double sessions, practice and games in the months of August, September and October? That's when Long Island gets great waves...good times... From Garden City Park, I moved to Long Beach, working in the bars, surfing, drinking and where I was introduced to a group of the most supportive loonatics in the world as far as I'm concerned. Playing in living rooms and bars all over the Island, I used to pack my car and go play. Armed with a surfboard on my roof, a smelly wetsuit, an amp some clothes and a guitar. I played. Every weekend was a debouchery. In a good way though... i think.
So those Long Beach loonatics I was talking about earlier are the ones who propelled my ass to play originals and move on. So I did. Here I must thank some people and thier couches... Ron's green monster, Nixon watergate couch and just about every place you lived. Eric and Andy's sticky leather couch. Briggs, I have nothing to say about your couch. Very cosy. Pockross' cat hair couch. (thanks for lint rollers) Scot T, do you know i have slept on your couch? Jack always had an extra bedroom...he's regal, and after an extended stay on a couch in, (Brooklyn) Tom, Francine and Sharon moved out and took the couch, forcing me to put my bed where thiers was...yes i had cooties and they didn't like it.
Surely I digress... So I moved into Brooklyn to be closer to the city (because I hate daily 1 hour train rides) but found funny looking relocated people from middle America called hipsters who never say hello on the street. You might have heard of them... inquisutive group, cute glasses? Anyway, among the hipsters and Italians, I moved in with my cousin Dave, who plays a mean guitar, (formerly of Blind Man's Sun, conductor of the Novo Philharmonic) and now have a band that includes, Sean Dixon on drums and Jordan Jancz on bass and most of the acoustic stuff I played has turned electric.
Granted, I don't get to surf as much, but i was brought under Dave's 'wing' and he taught me that my life is music! I don't just play for fun, I play all the time...in his words, "Its what we do." Music is what everyone in my life encouraged but something I was afraid to go for! Give up teaching and what I studied in college to play music? Be poor, give up your car and everything that kept you social with people to keep your dream of music alive? It's where I'm at and happy to be here. Thanks Dave.
So now, I try to play in front of as many people as I can, listen or not, I'll play...and yes, i will still play in a living room and will be very happy to use your couch thank you. All the songs here on myspace are all we have recorded, but dave and I are workin on that now. We will be going back into the studio and will be again working with Doug Derryberry who recorded and played with the likes of Dave Matthews, John Mayer and Bruce Hornsby. Hopefully you will be able to hear the new album by summers end.
Hope you like the music.
P.S.
For some acoustic outtakes and other thoughts i put out musically, check out The Hesitation Waltz in my top friends!

hey man we need to anti up force our way into matty wahls house for an intimate reading of gladwells "tipping point". then with a working knowledge of national epidemics from a clinical vantage point.... we; move to nashville, find an audience that doesnt throw rocks of rejection at anyone showing ethnicity or culture, we leave the hip-hop influence on modern suburban-ites far behind and take over the nation, or.....we get laid, get hammered while catering to the notion that the world will come knocking at our door sometime next week as we rise from alcohol induced comas! I DIG THESE TUNES! In nashville we could probably get by on our accents alone!
