we will say that mikroben.krieg sounds like "intelligent tribal ambient electro industrial landscapes".
founded at april’ 1995 at leiria- portugal, the mikroben.krieg project works in a lot of genres dealing with experimental and industrial music like electro-industrial, power electronics, noise; intelligent tribal, ambient, neo-classic, idm, and so on.
beyond the music, there is a very especific cultural basis with transmission of peculiar ideas and visions of the daily life. directly linked to the cultural coalition "Tec-Knowledge", m.k fuses musical expression with other forms of artistic expression like literature, photography, painting and video, between others.
being a solo project of nelson l brites, mikroben.krieg has the occasional collaboration of: - elisa brites (voice, lyrics) - hugo francisco (musician, live player) - nuno cruz (musician, live player) - rui francisco (performer)
since some years ago mikroben.krieg musical experiments has been dealing with a fusion between etnic elements and futuristic electronic and ambient landscapes. mikroben.krieg don’t work on abstract or impersonal random music: our compositions have always a purpose as well as a message, although sometimes it may not seem clear. our recent compositions include subjects like love, relationships, inner growth and development, moral issues and science.
mikroben.krieg has some side projects, alone or with other musicians: cellular, x-pranto, nociceptor, iron fist commando and dramafall.

Setembro de 2009 - passamos o mês em tournée por Ponte da Barca, Leça, Leiria e Lisboa e festejamos um ano de aniversário numa das maiores enchentes de sempre do Passos Manuel, no Porto, num evento que contou com a participação de 12 grandes DJs, para além da crew de Aerobica. Encerramos agora esta digressão em Braga, no histórico Insólito com o promissor André Granada. Queremos subir a parada e lançamos o desafio: vamos encher o Insólito e participar numa FESTA inesquecível??? Quem quer vir?
