2008 means rebirth for Modern Funeral Art, with all three original members aboard again, and still holding to the diversity of influences that has made us stand apart right from the start.
Our second full length album is now finish, it once again combine heavy and powerful metal music with clean vocals hailing from the roots of gothic rock.
"Doom with a view" coming soon
Doomed but not hopeless, Modern Funeral Art are back with their weird mixture of ultra heavy dark music and haunted melodies, which result in nine lullabies from beyond the grave.
Neither true Doom metal nor genuine Gothic rock, it's definitely not for the narrow-minded and not for the faint hearted!
Those who pay attention will get echoes of Dante's Inferno, Jack The Ripper and Aleister Crowley, among many other uncanny topics.
Our new album "Doom with a view" is now finish.
It was mastered by Dan SWANÖ at unisound studio (Sweden).
We're signing with Apollon Records , Doom with a view is coming early 2010.

Yep, moi aussi ça j'espère que ça va se décanter : 'fin bon, j'aurais un peu bossé cette année, c'est déjà çà^^ Le Swallow The Sun, j'ai pas encore écouté, mais le PL et le Kata' sont vraiment énormes. Là je suis sur les albums à chroniquer, donc je tourne au Majestic Downfall, Grieving Age (un groupe saoudien), Forgotten Forests, le tribute à Bethlehem, Tender Pain et My Silent Wake...

ARABROT (Norvège), les demi-dieux de la noisecore qui tache (concert au Mans le 17 novembre quand même aussi)... des gars qui jouent gras et sale comme les MELVINS et ZENI GEVA, avec un côté black à la DARKTHRONE... Ces gars sont déjantés (ceux qui les ont déjà vus savent que c'est un concert à ne louper sous aucun prétexte!) A noter, ils ont enregistré avec Steve ALBINI, et avec BILLY ANDERSON (MELVINS (bis)).
Ils seront accompagnés de NUIT NOIRE (post black metal / faerical blasting punk – on ne les présente plus... et ce sera le grand retour de ce duo qui ne laisse personne indifférent) et GOAT RIVER (pour un stoner doom instrumental quelque part entre EARTH, ELECTRIC WIZARD et FU MANCHU – ici tout le monde est bassiste, batteur et guitariste, ok?).
ça va, même si professionnellement, ça tourne à vide : un petit CDD dans un CLAE puis c'est tout. Du coup je me suis remis à l'écriture de nouvelles, chose que je n'avais pas fait depuis un bail : ça meuble le temps, entre 2 chros et interviews^^
