Mr Plow - a simple man with simple songs. A little bit country, a little bit rock 'n' roll, the rest prescription medicine & junk food. Served with side orders of murder, misery and despair.
Mr Plow has shared a stage with a host of Americana/roots popsters such as Eve Selis , Slaid Cleaves, Kim Richey, Kate Campbell, Rachel Harrington and Imelda May, He's also played at some of ther nations best summer festivals.
His 2008 EP, 'Four Murder Ballads', (available from Pink Box Records on digital download ) received national airplay, he has recorded a session for Mark Lamarr's 'God's Jukebox' show on BBC Radio 2 and he's been The Guardian's Radio 'Pick Of The Day' (which means he's officially cultural).
His debut album, 'The Book of Common Despair' was released on Pink Box Records, in August 2009 (CD and download - check the weblink over to the left) - again with national airplay and good reviews (Maverick, Americana UK). He's hitting the roads once more, accompanied by skin-pounder Mrs Crusher White and twangmesiter JJ Cake, playing gigs wherever people want to to hear minimalist misery ...
In addition, Mr Plow is a proud member of The Soar Valley Wayfarers, a skiffle combo who first played together in 1956. Local music legend Kevin Hewick, plus tubthumper extraordinaire Uncle Flash, make up the rest of the Wayfarers.
