A Voice for Responsible Marijuana Smokers
A nonprofit public-interest advocacy group, NORML represents the interests of the tens of millions of Americans who smoke marijuana responsibly.
During the 1970s, NORML led the successful efforts to decriminalize minor marijuana offenses in 11 states and significantly lower marijuana penalties in all others.
Today NORML continues to lead the fight to reform state and federal marijuana laws, whether by voter initiative or through the elected legislatures.
Our sister organization, the NORML Foundation sponsors public advertising campaigns to better educate the public about marijuana and alternatives to current marijuana policy; provides legal assistance and support to victims of the current laws; and undertakes relevant research.
The oldest and largest marijuana legalization organization in the country, NORML maintains a professional staff in Washington, DC, headed by Executive Director Allen St. Pierre, and a network of volunteer state and local NORML Chapters across the country.
thanks for the add! it's a poverty that families are ripped apart & good people are locked up over a plant that has been cultivated and used by people for over 10,000 years, til 71 years ago uncle sam decided we shouldn't do it anymore. Let's band together and put an end to the nonsense. visit www. theweeklyweed. com or add me as a friend to get a new issue delivered free to your inbox every week. peace!
i love what you guys are doing. i live in MA and read that bit of the november ballot for decriminilization and thats some of the best news i heard in a while. put me right in a good mood. hopefully soon after wel be past decriminilzation and will be voting for legalization, i wish you guys luck and wish i could do more to help besides spread the word and donate but once im a registered voter youl be seeing me driving state to state voting for the right to be a stoner
thanks for the add ~ glad to finally be on board!:) reform of marijuana laws has become a more and more important issue to me in the last few months. it always has been, by default, but now i'm a good deal more active now. one of those things is how i've been volunteering to distribute West Coast Cannabis [out of "Oaksterdam"] to local "headshops" and dispensaries in my area [and a bit beyond]. i am committed to the idea that cannabis is medicine, food, clothing, paper, fuel, plastic and divinity; and i preach about it when can! as the Boomers used to sing in the streets with Peter, Paul and Mary: "We Shall Overcome Someday!!!!"
