Wer noch immer nicht alle Alben der Einstürzenden Neubauten sein Eigen nennen kann, hat nun endlich wieder die Möglichkeit das 96er Album Ende Neu in das Plattenregal zu stellen. Natürlich hat es sich das hauseigene Label POTOMAK nicht nehmen lassen, sowohl die CD, als auch das Vinyl, in neuem Chick auf die Bühnenbretter zurückzuholen. Als Bonus verschönt die B-Seite der Stella Maris-Maxi "Bili Rubin" das Album.

Of course, our in-house label POTOMAK didnt miss the opportunity to bring both the CD and the vinyl back onto the stage with a new level of chic. As a bonus, the album is embellished by the song "Bili Rubin" from the B side of the Stella Maris maxi.

THE JEWELS sind das Ergebnis eines Experiments: Der Suche nach einem Navigationssystem, das die Band selbst wieder in die verborgenen Winkel des bisweilen nicht sonderlich hell ausgeleuchteten Einstürzende Neubauten-Universums führt, in jene Ecken, die trotz zwei Jahrzehnten rastloser Bewegung im dunkeln geblieben oder vergessen worden sind.
Diese Vergegenwärtigung des eigenen musikalischen Kosmos begann zeitgleich mit der Arbeit an Alles wieder offen (2007). Denn ursprünglich waren diese Miniaturen nur als monatliche Download-Geschenke an die Supporter der neubauten.org Phase 3 gedacht. Die Zeit, die auf den Schliff der Juwelen verwendet werden konnte, war somit begrenzt: zwei Tage mussten reichen, um von einer ersten Idee zum fertigen Song zu gelangen. Ergebnis ist ein Konzeptalbum mit Miniaturen, kleinen JUWELEN (JEWELS), von 2–3 Minuten Länge, von dem die Neubauten sagen: "Anfangs empfanden wir diesen Prozeß als gigantische Abschweifung, doch nach einer Weile bemerkten wir, dass die Ausflüge, die uns von der normalen Album–Arbeit wegführten, durch die Ergebnisse gerechtfertigt waren, denn sie erlaubten uns, einige unserer bislang Ego–freisten Kompositionen abzuliefern."

We would also like to remind you of the 2008 release of our album THE JEWELS.

THE JEWELS album is the result of an experiment to search for a navigation system, which led the band back into hidden niches of the Einstürzende Neubauten universe that have not been especially brightly illuminated before now; into those corners, which have remained in the dark or have been forgotten despite two decades of restless movement.
This visualization of their musical cosmos began at the same time as work on Alles wieder offen (2007). Initially, these miniatures were conceived only as download presents for the supporters of Phase 3 of neubauten.org. Consequently, the time that could be spent on jewel cutting was limited; two days had to suffice to go from the first inspiration to a finished song. The result is a concept album with miniatures – small JEWELS, 2–3 minutes in length, about which the Neubauten say: "At first we considered this process a gigantic digression, but after a while we noticed that the excursions that led us away from the normal album work were justified by the results, because they allowed us to deliver some of our most ego–free compositions up to now."

Formed in 1980 in West Berlin, Germany. Still active, possibly more than ever, now more than 27 years later.
