Sounds Like
The original Diablos had their own unique sound which influenced many other 1950's-60's R&B/R&R groups, especially in and around Detroit. Original lead singer Nolan Strong was influenced to some degree by the work of Clyde McPhatter with the Dominos and early Drifters. Nolan in turn was a major influence on Smokey Robinson and many other R&B/Soul singers. .. Some of the Diablos classic songs are: .. "The Wind" - "Mind Over Matter" - "If I, Oh I" - "Mambo Of Love" - "Ooh Those Eyes" - "Beside You" - "Adios My Desert Love" - I Wanna Know" - "Since You're Gone" - "Route 16" - "Do You Remember What You Did" - "Daddy Rockin' Strong" - and many more. .. .. .. .. .. .. ..
