Founded in 1999, Northern Records is an independent music company that focuses on the production, publishing, and distribution of music that moves us.
We are in the business of making great records and making great records available.
We can be a refuge or a stepping stone...That is up to you.

We will not make you famous.
Our deal includes extensive songwriting and production support led by writer/producer Andrew D. Prickett, demo and master recording at our studio in the Los Angeles area, publishing administration by Media Creature Music with film and tv representation, and digital-only distribution through RED Distribution (Sony BMG).
For touring artists*, we can provide all of the above plus a small budget for press, radio, and tour support, as well as traditional (brick & mortar) distribution through RED.
In your email include a link to your website and/or MySpace page, let us know what you are looking for from us, and what you plan to do to help yourself. In addition to the email, we always appreciate a message and friend request here on MySpace. Unfortunately, we can't respond to requests for our thoughts or comments. Please include the correct contact information so we can reach you if necessary. Most importantly, do not be discouraged if you don't hear from us. Keep writing, playing, and sending us new music.
*An artist only qualifies as a touring artist AFTER they have established a consistent touring schedule (at least 100 shows last year), proven the desire and ability to financially sustain themselves on the road for an indefinite period of time, and demonstrated a growing national fan base.
