Anyway, any of these genres are suitable for anyone who is concerned about labeling sound and takes the risk of defining O Garfo. Since March 2007, the threesome from Fortaleza (CE)/Brazil has been hatching what will become A Cria de Frank Einstein, the group’s first album.
A little more than a year was enough for the instrumental trio to be become one of the 5 finalists, among 100 other bands from the Brazilian Northern, is the selective process for the 2008 edition of the Abril Pro Rock festival. The band was a highlight of III Se Rasgum Festival (PA) and the Natal (RN) and João Pessoa (PB) editions of the Nordeste Independente festival. Also, they also participated in the Grito Rock Fortaleza, BNB de Música Instrumental, Mundo (PB), Forcaos, Feira da Música and BNB Rock-Cordel festivals.
With photos from Natalia Kataoka, O Garfo’s visual identify presents a sober tone, devoid of certainties. Something typical of a band with different musical backgrounds: Vitor Colares is the guitar player of Fossil and 2fuzz; João victor is the singer/guitar player in 2fuzz; and Felipe Gurgel is the former bass player of Café Colômbia. Do you understand? You don’t really have to. Listen to the music, it will be much more simple.
