Chris Gannon has been writing and producing music since the early '90s and has written albums under the name Polyploid and also his own name. (Polyploid on Discogs).
He ran Helix Records in the mid '90s and before that was recording on a little known label called Intruder under the larger label HOS (Heidi Of Switzerland).
He used to live in Brighton and has gigged and DJ'd in many countries using all sorts of different names to avoid contractual problems!
Having been Head of Video And Animation at a media agency in Newbury for the past 7 odd years he is now a freelance Flash designer, developer and consultant yet still manages to write and produce music. You can check out his audio blog here.
He hasn't DJ'd or gigged for a few years due to the fact he vomits every time he has to perform and so prefers to stay in his studio and coax stuff onto the Internet through a tiny digital, track-shaped hole he has created.
Hi Chris! Hope you are having a good time down under! Just wanted to let you know, finally out:
IAN ION – Gringo Locomotion (Chill Tribe Records) Solo ambient album by Ian Ion from Denmark, known for groundbreaking projects such as Koxbox, Saiko-Pod, Sri Hari, The Overlords, Conamore etc.!
Hmmm I know somewhere where you can buy those horse tail thingies, but they are attached to a kind of plug affair. I won't go into any more details. ....
Hi Chris, great to see you putting your tunes out once again. It's a long way on from those days at Saracens Head Yard with the RY30, DX27 and my amiga that lived in a wooden fruit box, but hey, we had a larf (except when it crashed!). Enjoyed the animations on your flashy flash site, who's a clever boy then? Good luck with Grow Your Own and perhaps the next album will have a slightly shorter window than 15 years! Love + Light, David Unlimbo.
POLYPLOID - Grow Your Own New album by Chris Gannon out now on Chill Tribe Records. All the profits from this album will go to the Blessed Comfort Center boys and girls Orphanage in Arusha, Tanzania, to help children with HIV and aids.
