Robot Professor Promotions are two blokes called Dave who put the best unsigned post-rock/alternative/electronic bands
they can find together on a stage... sometimes two.
RPP are simply all about the music. We want to put shows on where fans can come together and enjoy the delights of what is often a neglected genre.
We aim not only to promote local talent, but also touring bands from around the country, who share the same passion for post/alternative rock as we do.
This Christmas we put together the likes of Burnst, Blakfish, io, Shapes, Grandscope, Mothertrucker, Acres of Ocean, PCM, Concrete Belly, Windscale and a load of others on two stages at the Rainbow in Birmingham.
The bar ran dry, many danced, and everyone had an ace time. ....AND we raised over £300 for charity. We made a shiny compilation CD of some of the bands too, which you can still get hold of from us via paypal below. Any that we sell will have the profits donated to Cancer Research UK, which is 95% of that fiver, seeing as we made them with our bare hands (and a printer, and a CD burner.... )
It was so unexpectedly amazing, and we want to thank all that came down, and all the bands for playing for zero pounds....
.... and we'll be doing it all over again in about 3 months time....
