Em Natal, capital do Rio Grande do Norte, Nordeste do Brasil. É de lá que vem o The Sinks, grupo formado por três gerações do rock potiguar. Marcelo já foi baterista da lendária General Junkie, Dante que toca guitarra e canta em algumas formações do rock local e Foca, que além de fazer o baixo do grupo, capitanea o selo DoSol e canta no Allface.
Pela vontade de fazer um som direto que remetesse a grupos distintos e importantes como Husker Du, Ramones, New York Dolls e Nirvana, os três potiguares se juntaram para alguns ensaios com um punhado de composições para montar. O resultado do trabalho está EP "Ignored" com 7 faixas poderosas e bem registradas.
Além da faixa título o disco trás "Little Girl", single que no primeiro dia de divulgação já foi parar nas rádios locais, "Mamma..s Way" uma ode ao som simples do Husker Du e Ramones e "Selfish World" onde o power trio se mostra a vontade no pré-punk e hard rock. O Ep ainda tem mais três musicas, "I’ll Go" uma homenagem aos Ramones, "Let you Down" e "Mamma’s Way".

Natal, Rio Grande do Norte’s capital, Brazilian Northest. This is the place where The Sinks are from, a group formed with three generations of the local rock scene. Marcelo has already played the drums with the legendary local rock n’ roll band General Junkie, Dante plays the guitar and sings along some city’s bands and Foca, besides playing the bass in the band, manages Dosol Record Label and sings with the band Allface.
United by the same wish of making a powerful rock n’ roll, similar to very distinct and important bands such as Husker Du, Ramones, New York Dolls and Nirvana. The three gyus got together and started to jam with a couple of riffs and melodies to produce songs. The fruits of their work can be heard on the “Ignored” EP with seven well recorded and powerful songs.
Besides the title track the disk brings “Little Girl”, a single played in the local radio stations on it’s first divulgation day, “Mamma’s Way” is an ode to the simple sound made by Husker Du and Ramones and “Selfish World” where the power trio Shows that they feel like home on the pre-punk and hard-rock terrain. The EP contains another three powerful songs such as “I’ll go” a tribute to the ramones, “Let you Down” and “Do you wanna give it up”.
